PUBLICATION OF EARNINGS - AVERAGE GP INCOME

All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (eg average) for GPs working to deliver NHS services

to patients at each practice.

The average pay for GPs working at the SWAVESEY SURGERY in the last financial year before tax and national

insurance is :

49,215

This is for 1 full time GP, 1 part time GP who worked in the practice for more than 6 months.

It should be noted that the prescribed method for calculating earnings is potentially misleading because

it takes no account of how much time doctors spend working in the practice, and should not be used to form

any judgement about GP earnings, nor to make any comparison with any other practice.

Named GP

In line with the current government initiative and to comply with our NHS contract all patients are now given a named accountable GP.

Newly registered patients will be allocated a named GP on registration.

You will be registered with Dr Anil Jain, but please note that this does not mean that you cannot see the GP of your choice and can book appointments with all GP's.

However, if you feel we have not dealt with the issues you have raised as you would wish, you can ring PALS, NHS Cambridgeshire, on 01223 725400 for advice and support, or alternatively you can contact NHS England, Customer Contact Centre, PO Box 16738, Redditch B97 9PT, telephone 0300 311 22 33, or email england.contactus@nhs.net

The surgery is accessible to patients using a wheelchair although it is awkward. Please telephone ahead of your appointment for any help you might need.

Patient confidentiality

We respect your right to privacy and keep all your health information confidential and secure. It is important that the NHS keeps accurate and up-to-date records about your health and treatment so that those treating you can give you the best possible advice and care.

This information is only available to those involved in your care and you should never be asked for personal medical information by anyone not involved in your care. You have a right to know what information we hold about you. If you would like to see your records, please call our practice manager or speak to your doctor at your appointment.

Our expectations of you
